This is the 2nd generation version of the GreenMaps.US web site which was originally built for the Howie Hawkins campaign. It is also used as the basis for "The Open Source Video Processing Wiki" and a few other web sites.
WordPress is fine for small sites, but for larger more complex state party sites, it is better to use a Python baed solution.
Editing Content. View
It is generally quite easy to add and edit pages. It is just markdown. Images are the only tricky part.
To add and edit pages, just login. To prevent spamming, people are given permjission to add and edit to a particular branch of the tree. There are also tools for approving new pages.
The only tricky part is with images. Please do not upload images into the page. that bloats the object database. First creata a page called "page-name" and then add the image as a child of that page. From the page you can then reference that image as
/page-name/image-name.png Or even
/page-name/image-name.png/150W
if you want a 150 pixel wide version of the page. The following widths are also supported.
{'16W','50W','100W','150W','200W','400W','600W',,'25H','100H','200H','300H'}:
Eventually image data will be automatically removed from markdown pages, and stored on the file system. One thing at a time.

We apologize that the subscribe form does not actualy do anything yet. This is after all a developent server. We are in the process of hooking it up to the Progressive Tech Support's ListMonk announcement list server. Sadly there was a pikapod bug, which has been reported. Hopefully soon it will all work.
Mailing lists are very important both for the Green and Peach and Freedom parties. Unlike social miedia they have minimal censorship. And the contacts collected in this campaign year, can be reused in future campaigns.
ListMonk is really cool software. It is free and open source. And secondly it has a great security model. Every candidate can be given the ability to send emails to subscribers in their voting districts zip codes, and only in their voting districts zip codes.
NationBuilder operates differently. AFAIK, if you have permisison to send NationBuilder emails, you can send them to whoever you want. So state parties limit the number of people with access to the mailing list. Usually local candidates do not get their own access to the state mailing list, and never to the National Mailing list servers. With list monk, they can send emails themselves to their own districts.
ListMonk is way less expensive than NationBuilder. We pay a few dollars a month for hosting, and the first 6000 emails every month are free from bulk email providers. Above that volume one has pay money to the bulk email provider cartel.
